On his homeplane, Oko was subjugated, even tortured, by the ruling class to comply with their desire for rigid order. It seems only right that someone in his position would rise up against authority, but by the time he reached Eldraine, he had become just like his oppressors - self righteous, narrow minded and cruel. He went after the High King Kentih: a monarch in the loosest term, having earned his title by trial, insisting he his family live like paupers; he allowed the other castles to live their own way and left the Eldraine wilds to their own devices. He was nothing like the sources of Oko's trauma

But all Oko heard upon his arrival was 'king.' He set out to kidnap Kenrith and turn him into and elk - brain washing or killing anything that stood in his way. His plan eventually failed and, with hands soaked in blood, he planeswalked away. Perhaps there is still a chance for Oko to redeem himself - there are, after all, many true tyrants out there that need opposing. The question is, will he turn over a new leaf before Garruk, one of the former targets of his cruelty, tracks him down?
