During the development of Alliances, an unnamed division of Wizards of the Coast petitioned the company's president to stop the printing of Scars of the Veteran, Force of Will, Contagion, Pyrokinesis, and Bounty of the Hunt as they felt it would spell disaster for the game. R&D managed to convince him otherwise and while there have been many problematic free spells over the years, these spells are not among them.
